Michel Marquis
Michel Marquis founded and still heads 2M Ressources, a company whose bears his initials. His entrepreneurial journey began in March of 1999, when he lost his job and decided to launch his own business, with the help of his family. With a clear, forward-looking vision, Michel set his sights on the glass market, the recycling industry's underdog due to its highly abrasive nature and lack of outlets. With the help of a committed team, he developed increasingly efficient processes that would bring recycled glass to a sufficiently high level of purity to enable it to be remelted. To this day, 2M Ressources is one of the few companies capable of producing this level of quality.
Prior to founding 2M Ressources, Michel gained valuable experience at Waste Management as a coordinator and at Wink Industries as a plant manager. These roles honed his skills in operations management, strategic planning and negotiation, which he leveraged to found 2M Ressources.
His passion for sustainability and innovation has been recognized on several occasions, notably by the Centre local de développement (CLD) de Longueuil, earning him the Grand Lauréat Manufacturier / Technologique award. Michel was also a finalist at the Gala de l'Excellence de la Chambre de Commerce du Haut Richelieu in 2015, and at the CETEQ Gala in 2018 and 2024.
François Ierfino
François Ierfino is a veteran of the recycling sector, with over 43 years of industry experience. Since joining 2M Ressources in 2014, he has brought unrivalled expertise in supply chain management and the development of made-to-measure recycling programs for customers.
His career path led him to work hand-in-hand with both public and private organizations, creating an extensive network of suppliers and customers across Canada, the United States, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. The last 20 years of his career have focused on glass recovery and processing.
Prior to joining 2M Ressources, François held management positions at NexCycle Industries, Unical/Klareco Glass and Cascades Récupération. His commitment to quality and sustainability make him a valuable asset to the company.
Stéphane Derome
Stéphane Derome plays a crucial role in the smooth running of the company's day-to-day operations. His ability to effectively manage the company's complex logistics ensures that recycled materials are processed and routed smoothly and efficiently.
Stéphane is recognized for his thoroughness, organizational skills and dedication to the 2M Ressources mission. He is also appreciated for his collaborative approach, working closely with the company's other departments and partners to ensure high-quality service.
Julie Lamothe
Julie Lamothe has dedicated her entire career to positions in the recycling industry: Waste management, BFI Canada, Les services Monde Vert and Groupe Melimax to name but a few. She has acquired solid expertise in administrative and dispatch management.
In addition to her own professional responsibilities, Julie never hesitates to help out with any special project, making her an invaluable partner. Dedicated and passionate about what she does, she demonstrates great professionalism in all spheres of her work, making her a valued and sought-after colleague.
