Glass collection points
2M Resources is a key player in Quebec's glass recycling industry
Did you know that there are several glass drop-off points in Estrie, Montérégie, and the Greater Montreal area where you can bring your glass containers—even before the second phase of the deposit system comes into effect in 2027? It’s simple, easy, and accessible—all you have to do is search using our tool!
- Accepted materials are the following:

Glass beverage or condiment bottles (brown, green, blue, clear, frosted or painted)

Glass pots and jars

Glass yogurt containers

Glass beauty product jars and bottles
There’s no need to remove plastic or aluminium caps or lids: we recycle them too!
Watch out for unwanted materials!
- In order to preserve the quality of our glass, we do not accept:

Ceramics

Flat glass (such as windows)

Mirrors

Porcelain

Terracotta

Stoneware

Earthenware

Waste of any kind
Why don’t we accept these items?
These materials do not melt at the same temperature as glass and can therefore compromise the quality of recycled glass, generate flaws in new glass packaging and cause serious damage to our glass furnaces.
Only glass packaging (bottles, pots, jars, flasks, etc.) can be recycled indefinitely.
Our glass collection service
Thanks to an extensive network of drop-off points, we are able to accept glass at our packaging center in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, making your commitment to circularity easier. In some cases, we can also transport the material. The processed glass is then remelted or transformed into insulating wool, which requires the same level of purity as remelting.
