Processing glass in 5 steps
This illustrates how a simple glass bottle can be recovered, recycled and transformed into a valuable resource.
Drop-off point
Your glass bottle is deposited in a collection container at a voluntary drop-off point. Use our tool to find your nearest collection point.

Collection and transportation
The glass bottle is transported to our processing center in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Mechanical sorting
Mechanical sorting, which requires no water, is then carried out to separate the glass from any contamination, be it a cork, label or aluminum handle.

Grinding
The crushed glass bottle is then ground into cullet of varying sizes, according to our customers' requirements.

Transportation to a recycler
The new raw material produced is then recycled and transformed into a new glass bottle or Insulating wool by one of our partners.
